FILE EXPLORER SLOW WINDOWS 10 WINDOWS 10
I run Windows 10 Home version 21H1, Build 19043.1110 It takes around 10 seconds to display the files and buttons when using File Explorer directly, and the same again when navigating to different directories, and the same when trying to open or save files from within a browser ( tried both Edge and Chrome ). I've looked around the internet for ages for a fix, but with no luck, leaving me here, writing this post. This is super frustrating as the explorer would just be in a "not responding" mode until it finally would pop up or open the file. I could right click elements instantly though, but as soon as I would hover over the "Open With" option it would also take 40-60 seconds. Henceforth, check the option Show hidden files, folders, and drives. In the Folder Options window, go to the View tab. In the File Explorer window, click on View. I could navigate around the explorer with no issue, but as soon as I double clicked a file, it would take 40-60 seconds before responding and opening. Press Windows key+E which will open the File Explorer window. Everything was working fine until one day when I turned on my PC everything was responding very slow.
